The Bird In Hand is a delightful 14th Century Country Inn with a history that spans 600 years. When you step through our doors you catch a glimpse of the past... and walk in the footsteps of King George III.
For the business traveller or families on vacation, our premises and warm sense of hospitality will charm and entertain you, and revive your spirits.
Our friendly local country pub offers wonderful selection of home cooked food served in a relaxed atmosphere with cosy open fire in the winter.
All our food is home-made from locally sourced ingredients. We cater for any Special Diets. We have a large variety of Vegetarian dishes and we can prepare to most suit your tastes.
Whether dining in the Restaurant or the Bar the choice is from the same menu which offers a combination of Traditional English to European and Oriental dishes, light snacks are also available.
There are daily changing Specials which include a Roast, Pie, Pasta and Vegetarian. At lunchtime we also have a Cold Buffet for a fast and easy meal. Our Sunday Roasts are renowned and are served all day from midday to 9pm.

Our accommodation ranges from single rooms to family rooms for 2 adults and a child so there is something available to suit the needs of anyone travelling in the Berkshire area whether it's for a weekend break or an overnight stay.
